Samsung has discontinued sales of the Galaxy Z Fold2 through its official web shop in the United States. When you try to reach the page that used to house the device's listing, you're met with an error notice stating that the "Galaxy Fold is no longer available for purchase on Samsung.com."
Because the phrasing relates to the first
Galaxy Fold, which was out of supply for months after the introduction of the
Fold2, it's plausible that the person in charge of content for such messages
just reused material from when the original Fold was no longer available on the
company's web shop.
The Fold2 is still available at Best Buy and AT&T, but not at Verizon or T-Mobile. All of this implies that Samsung is attempting to take it out of the market gradually; Best Buy and AT&T may just have unsold stock. If you're wondering why Samsung would do anything like this, we won't speculate too much, but might the Galaxy Z Fold3's release date be approaching?
