Twitter has announced a hint of caption extension of 280 characters of tweets
from the 140 characters. Twitter has announced in a statement that, "Can’t fit your Tweet into 140
characters? We’re trying something new with a small group, and increasing the
character limit to 280!" But many twitter users feel that the
extension of the characters in the Twitter post would make a difference in the
quality of service.
Jack
Dorsey, co-founder of leading social network site Twitter has posted lengthy statement
with the more than 200 characters to confirm the news of increasing the
character limits for the Twitter post.“This
is a small change, but a big move for us. 140 was an arbitrary choice based on
the 160 character SMS limit. Proud of how thoughtful the team has been in
solving a real problem people have when trying to tweet. And at the same time
maintaining our brevity, speed, and essence!” he stated in the twitter.
From the start, the Twitter Company
has maintained 140 characters limit in all circumstances, with the long message

of Twitter fans fear that the symbol of twitter post is the character limit of
140, by increasing the limit of characters would spoil the quality of post in

Twitter Company says that
the 280 character limit would be tested with the small group of Twitter account
users in many countries. The current option of 140 character limit would remain
in some countries like china, japan and korean countries, because the character
of specified country language would fit in the 140 limit, a single character
would represent a noun in their language.
The present service of 140
limitations in characters is creating the extra work of posting the screen
shots or making the users to create the threads for the specific topics to
manage the stories, this is would be rectified
when the characters to be increased.
